1. Information We Collect
NextGen IELTS adheres strictly to data minimization principles. We collect only account credentials (display name, email, encrypted authentication tokens), exam and practice test responses, written essay submissions, and technical telemetry. IP addresses are masked to Class B format upon receipt to protect visitor privacy while defending against automated abuse.
2. Speaking Audio & Voice Recording Privacy
Spoken audio submitted during interactive AI Speaking Examiner interviews receives heightened safeguards. Full audio recordings are saved locally within your browser's isolated IndexedDB database on your device for personal review and are never archived on permanent server disks. Ephemeral audio segments transmitted via TLS to cloud speech-to-text engines are processed solely for transcription and immediate band scoring. Candidate audio and essays are never sold or used to train public foundation AI models.
3. Categories of Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with trusted service providers under strict data processing agreements: Cloud Infrastructure and Database Hosting providers, Speech Recognition and Audio Processing providers, Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing providers, Payment Gateways (Stripe and licensed Mobile Financial Services such as bKash, Nagad, and Rocket), Advertising Networks (Google AdSense supporting our 0 BDT Free Mock 1 tier), and aggregate Analytics services.
4. Legal Bases & International Transfers
Processing is grounded in GDPR Article 6 legal bases: Performance of a Contract (mock test delivery and scoring), Legitimate Interests (platform security and rate limiting), and Consent (non-essential cookies). Cross-border transfers outside the EEA or UK are governed by European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and UK International Data Transfer Agreements.
5. Data Subject Rights & Immediate Self-Service Deletion
Users hold full statutory rights to access, rectify, restrict, export, and erase their personal data. Candidates can execute an immediate, permanent wipe of their account, test records, and local browser audio databases at any time by navigating to Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account. 6. California Consumer Privacy (CCPA / CPRA) & Automated Scoring Notice
We do not sell personal data for monetary consideration. California residents hold rights to know, delete, correct, and opt-out of cross-context behavioral ad tracking. Automated band scores are educational diagnostic tools calibrated to Cambridge criteria and produce no legal or similarly significant effects under GDPR Article 22.
